How to get an Emboss effect without specular
This trick may be usefull to add relief in a diffuse map without adding a lightning effect.
Here is a simple texture made of a colorized Wood_Noise.
If you add an
EmbossFilter in your current map, you will get something like this :
In order to get only the shadow part of the Emboss effect follow this procedure :
- create a Uniform Color filter and set the color to white
- plug the Emboss Filter to this Uniform Color
- create a Uniform Mix filter, plug both Emboss Filter and the map you want to add the effect, and set the Blending Mode to Multiply
